Miley Ray Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23rd, 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee and raised in Thompson's Station, Tennessee to Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus. There are five siblings in her family: two half brothers, one half sister, and an older sibling and brother. She was named by her parents since they wanted her to achieve success. Miley was her name in childhood. Smiley due to its cheerfulness. Her grandfather, a Democratic political figure, Ron Cyrus, was her paternal grandparent. Cyrus was the first student at Heritage Elementary School in Tennessee. At the age of eight and her family relocated from Tennessee to Toronto, Canada, where Cyrus's father Billy Ray took a role in the TV series Doc (2001). At this point when Cyrus decided she wanted to be an actor too. She played alongside her father, Doc (2001), in the initial part of this film. Then, in 2003 she played one small role in Tim Burton's Big Fish. Cyrus was chosen in 2005 as the main character of the Disney television series Hannah Montana, which is about a teenager who lives a dual life. Again her father acted alongside the actress in her. Following the success of the show, it was a time of hit songs, sold-out tour dates as well as deals on merchandise. Cyrus was a popular teen star. After the huge success in Hannah Montana 2006, Cyrus moved into other characters. She played Ronnie Miller and Lola alongside Demi Moore in The Last Song 2010 and LOL 2012.
